Hello: My name is Arnold Akachuk - I am Cree/Assiniboine from Oceanman First Nation Saskatchewan.
I graduated with my Business Administration from Nicola Valley Institute of Technology and have been with the Friendship Centre movement since moving to Merritt, BC in 2003.
I was positioned with Conayt Friendship Society as the Administrative Assistant than moved into the Cultural Departement as the Cultural Worker then, as the Cultural coordinator. Later through recognition, I was placed as a Health Assistant, working in the fields of promotion personal well-being through First Nations holistic approaches and understandings. Than later moved on to become Merritt School District #58 First Nations Support Worker.
