Kelowna Women’s Shelter

The Kelowna Women’s Shelter envisions a community in which everyone treats each other with dignity, respect, acceptance, and compassion. Since 1980, we have been a refuge for women and their children who have experienced intimate partner violence and abuse. We offer safe emergency/transitional housing for women and children, confidential counselling and support, and a 24-hour crisis phone line. We also provide preventative education programs to children and youth in an effort to put a stop to the cycle of abuse.

The Kelowna Women’s Shelter Thrift Store is a community-based social enterprise that raises money to support the many programs and services offered by the Shelter and allows our clients and others in need in the community to shop for free.

Abuse is never okay. Asking for help is. To learn more about the Shelter and our services visit: www.kelownawomensshelter.ca or contact [email protected]
